This is the new Mercedes-Benz CLS C257, the range topping 435 hp V6 AMG CLS53 4MATIC+. 435 hp doesn’t sound like much, since the previous generation AMG CLS produced almost 570 hp. That’s because Mercedes-Benz aptly calls it’s performance 4-door coupe AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. Mercedes-Benz CLS, which started the 4-door premium coupe segment in 2004. Someone concluded it’s hard to justify spending a lot of money on a 2-door car, so it’s going to be easier to justify buying an expensive 4-door car. And this is how Mercedes-Benz CLS was conceived – a car with a sporty character, but still elegant and discrete.
